Tom
Tom’s grandfather started as a joiner back in the 1940’s, he taught Tom throughout the years all the techniques and methods to create beautiful pieces of woodwork. Not only did he acquire the skills but also the vintage machinery and tools, which means everything we make has a piece of history in it.
He is a sound engineer by profession and has worked along side with Royal Caribbean, Russel Watson, BBC sounds and many more. As like many others, this industry has been hit by the pandemic and thats why TY creatives was born.
Yana
Yana is the art side of it, she is the one who carefully handcrafts every piece that is created. She also creates abstract paintings with the influence of her surroundings, which she integrates to some of the products. As individuals, they both have always had a fascination with wood; the smell, the texture and the limitless things you can create it with.
Yana on the other hand is part of the NHS for about 8 years now and as a radiographer she is part of the frontline team. With pressure building up in the hospital she sought back to painting again.
